Club email - primary position on ST waiting list

Just got an email from the club saying that I am now in a primary position on the ST waiting list. Tickets obviously not selling well.

How comes I got a season ticket last year by the process of my West Ham going mates requesting that I replace one of them who decided not to renew? That’s me and a child ticket. Looks like the club have stiffed someo on the waiting list. That, or the waiting list is a big fat lie.
PS wifey bog put me on the waiting list and I’ve also had the email that I’m now in pole posit for a ticket.

Dear Farley
We would like to thank you once again for your commitment and patience as a supporter on the Season Ticket Waiting List.
Last year we were able to offer Season Ticket seats to supporters at the top of the Waiting List, which became available from Season Ticket Holders who did not renew. The same process will take place for the 2018/19 season, following the Season Ticket renewal and relocation phase.
Any seats not renewed will be made available to supporters on the Season Ticket Waiting List from Monday 11 June, in order of the date you joined the Waiting List.
Due to the large volume of supporters on the list, we are not yet able to guarantee if you will be offered a ticket for the 2018/19 Season, as this is dependent on renewals and the number of supporters on the Waiting List who take up their offer of a Season Ticket.
To assist the Ticket Office and to confirm your interest in taking up a Season Ticket, please submit your price band preference below. Full pricing information for the 2018/19 season can be found here.

I am a ST holder and haven`t renewed yet but will and they email me every other day and yesterday got a postcard actually through the post. They are still pushing us hard to renew.
40,000 on the waiting list??? My a**e!

Exactly the same for me WSM. It seems the 50,000 waiting list is like a lot of promises from G S & B - bullshit!

They can't offer anything until they know for sure what's going to be available after everyone who wants to move seats has done so.
All they can do is tell people to be ready. Wouldn't surprise me if they just actually go first come first served as soon as the renewal deadline has passed.
However, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if there really aren't THAT many people at all waiting for tickets- especially in bands 1, 2 and upwards.
They're going to have to put a product worthy of the price out onto the pitch to start convincing people.

I am getting these emails too and I have never so much as enquired about a season ticket - they are sending them to my email address on the back of either my previous membership or online club shop purchases .

They must be shitting it if they're offering season tickets before the renewal has passed. Unless you're at the very top.of the list and yiure getting the ticket from the fellas who ran on the pitch.

My daughters on there some were - would have been around 50k when I put her on there at the beginning of last season.
The email from the club asks for your seating band choices - so whatever the current order is I'd assume they are going to divvy it up by band

I am neither a STH or a club member, but have been to 8 games this season and had no problems whatsoever getting tickets, including Liverpool and Palace away.
Then again, I am LEONARD FUCKING HATRED.

I rang about a week ago turned on the Charley charm and asked her, maybe as renewal deadline is approaching and they are gathering all the data they don't have the up to date info, but i'm definitely going to ring once the deadline has passed. Either way the information is definitely there
